Barking Cat Studio is a uniquely equipped art studio dedicated to promoting creativity, discovery and independent thinking. Our studio provides the perfect environment for nurturing and encouraging young artists and adults alike to explore their imaginations and inspirations by creating fun, age-appropriate projects that focus on everything from the basics of the visual arts to sophisticated use of a variety of materials.

We know that you and your child are completely able to make beautiful art. At Barking Cat Studio, we make it possible for everyone.

Barking Cat Studio offers a variety of classes for toddlers, kids andadults. In our intimate, one-room studio nestled in Boerum Hill, we offer one class per time period for up to 22 people. Classes are taught by our enthusiastic top cat and owner, Karen Merbaum, as well as equally effervescent, bubbly staff.

We believe if given the proper materials and encouragement, anyone can create art.
